Dagga found on bus; trafficker yet to be identified

The Upington K9 unit, together with members of the Upington Highway Patrol unit pounced on dagga with an estimated street value of more than R400 000.

On Thursday (08/09) at around 13:45, police searched a long-distance travelling bus in Daniëlskuil and found 19 packets of dagga wrapped in brown adhesive tape, weighing 16,10 kg.

The bus was travelling from Durban via Bloemfontein and Kimberley to Upington. An enquiry docket was opened, as no passenger could be linked with the cargo.

The police investigation continues.
