South African singer Amanda Black has officially cancelled the remaining dates of her “From My Soil To Yours” tour following low ticket sales and internal constraints.
The decision brings an early end to the independently funded tour, with the final scheduled performance in Mbombela and Bloemfontein now cancelled.
The Mbombela show was set to take place on Saturday, May 16, at Emnotweni Casino in Nelspruit, while the Bloemfontein date had been scheduled for June 6.
Black confirmed the news through statements shared on her official Facebook page. In an emotional message to fans, she apologised to ticket holders and those who had already made travel arrangements.
She explained that the tour was fully self-funded and that financial pressure, together with poor ticket sales, forced her to make the difficult decision to conclude the run early.
“I’m extremely saddened to announce that the ‘From Soil To Yours’ tour in Mbombela, which was supposed to take place this Saturday, 16 May 2026, at Emnotweni Casino, has been cancelled. Due to internal constraints and low ticket sales. I had to make a very difficult decision to cancel entirely,” she wrote.
She also thanked supporters who had attended previous shows and those who continued to support her music. Refund communication for ticket holders has been issued through Webtickets.
Despite the cancellation, the singer expressed gratitude to fans in Makhanda, Durban and Cape Town, where the tour had already stopped.
She thanked audiences for the love shown throughout the run and hinted at hopes of returning in the future.
Black remains one of South Africa’s respected voices in Afro-pop and soul music. Known for blending personal storytelling with themes of identity and culture, she has built a loyal following since breaking into the industry.
Her latest album, “From My Soil To Yours”, serves as a reflection of her roots and personal journey. The project includes songs such as “Love Is For Mahala” and “Ntaka Yam” and marked another chapter in her evolving sound.
